are.

Since 1996, The Professionals Pt Chevalier has been a successful real estate company and an integral part of this lovely suburb.

Derek von Sturmer has been a key player from the beginning, and after some time out working for other real estate companies, he has come full circle, back to the Professionals and Pt Chevalier. As owner of the company, he and his wife Gina have firmly put their unique style on the way things are done, into the DNA of the company.

Starting from the strong relationship with the community that Derek and Gina have cultivated, to their single-minded view of how the business is first and foremost about the lives of the people involved, not the sums of money transferred.

Right now the company has its feet planted firmly in the sandy shores of The Chev, but over time, the team are keen to take their knowledge of the entire ‘Inner West’ of Auckland, and grow their presence in these suburbs too.

How we're different.

All real estate companies are the same right? Well, not really. While the pursuit of the bottom line, or rigidly following corporate rules may be the modus operandi of many in the business, the Professionals Pt Chev is unabashedly focussed on people.

Whether it’s making sure we’ve got the right staff working for us and ensuring they get the most out of being part of our team, or it’s making the unique journey each of our clients is on as stress-free and rewarding as possible. Selling a home can be an overwhelming experience, but Derek and his team are motivated to ensure the process is smooth and predictable, with a satisfying outcome for all parties.

In fact, the most important reward we’re looking for is seeing a client successfully negotiate the often complex path from one home to another.
